Strain Review: Shishkaberry

If Shishkaberry were a dessert, it would be something fruity and flashy, like gourmet apple and blackberry ice cream maybe, served with a glob of caramel sauce on top.

A few hits of this savoury cannabis strain will quickly lead to a euphoric head buzz before it finally drips into a tranquillizing body high after about 30 minutes. Like a sugar rush, ’kish’ lifts you up before it calms you down.

An award-winning fusion of DJ Short Blueberry and an unknown Afghani strain, Shishkaberry will pair equally well with your first coffee of the day — if you’re into slow and easy mornings — as it does your evening tea.

My weed came from Redecan’s Niagara greenhouses and was delivered in a pack of 10 pretty, petite, and perfectly straight-rolled joints featuring snazzy black tips. I actually felt sophisticated and classy holding a Shiskaberry joint in my hand. These are not feelings I can say I’ve ever experienced before, puffing on a doob.

My mind wanders and imagine myself wearing a beret and smoking this exotically named weed at some swanky cannabis cafe in (hopefully) the not-so-distant future. For now, I’m sprawled out on my bed as usual.
