What Does Nectar Collector Mean?

Nectar collectors are glass accessories that are shaped like hummingbirds and are used to vaporize and use cannabis concentrates. They have only been around for the last year or two and are considered an alternative to a conventional dab rig.

A nectar collector is a small, yet expensive and intricate device.

Maximum Yield Explains Nectar Collector

Nectar collectors effectively vaporize cannabis concentrates. The device is small and portable. Some of the devices only measure 6 inches in length. Nectar collectors tend to be very expensive because they are relatively new. They can cost anywhere from $100 to $1,000 or more.

The device became known as a nectar collector because it resembles a small hummingbird that uses its beak to dip into the flower's sap. A nectar collector is shaped like a large syringe. There is an embedded percolator. The percolator functions as a filtration system when water is added. There is a mouthpiece and a titanium or glass tip that functions as the nail for the concentrate.

The nectar collector usually comes with a wax dish. High-end nectar collectors may even have a rotating dish. Water is added to the collector's percolator. The end tip of the device is then heated with a butane torch.

Once hot, the tip is placed into the dish holding the concentrate. The user then inhales the vapor through the mouthpiece.
