Maximum Yield Explains Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC)

While the world of medical cannabis has expanded rapidly in recent years, with new treatments for an incredible variety of diseases and conditions coming to market, education for physicians has moved more slowly. Many physicians still regard medical cannabis as “fringe” medicine, but there are organizations fighting to change that perception. One of those is the Society of Cannabis Clinicians.

Founded in 2004 and based in California, the Society of Cannabis Clinicians has a mission of educating physicians and medical professionals concerning the efficacy of medical cannabis treatment options, as well as the safety and ultimate value of these treatments for their patients.

Physicians can find numerous other resources on the website, ranging from a referral dictionary to a video library to a robust selection of articles from scientific and medical sources on the value and benefits of medical cannabis.

Note that members of the organization are allowed access to yet more resources, including case reports that detail actual use and treatment scenarios for real-life patients. All findings of the SCC are published through the Journal of Cannabis in Clinical Practice.
