What Does Oaksterdam University Mean?
Oaksterdam University was founded in 2007 by cannabis activist Richard Lee. It became America’s first cannabis university.
Located in Oakland California, the school can trace its educational roots back to 1995. It has quickly established itself as one of the world’s leading cannabis colleges.
Oaksterdam University offers two separate career courses to help their students gain a leading position in the ever-evolving cannabis industry. Students can choose a horticulture program, a classic business program, or both.
The horticulture courses focus on training students in all aspects of marijuana plant management and cannabis cultivation. The business courses provide training in the legalities of the marijuana industry, business management, and product development. The university also offers 13-week semester courses and seminars.
