What Does Biosynthesis Mean?
Biosynthesis is a process by which simple matter from a living organism is used to create a different form of more complex matter within the same biological entity. This is done through the action of enzymes.
Biosynthesis happens naturally in all life forms, but can also be induced in a lab, research, or academic setting. In the biosynthesis of cannabis, THC, cannabinoids, and even terpenes can be created through this lab-based process.
Biosynthesis is not the same process that creates synthetic versions of THC, such as those found in Marinol; those such compounds do not contain actual cannabis or extracts.
