What Does Linalool Mean?
Linalool is a minor terpene of the cannabis plant and is found in the most abundance in Indica-dominant strains of cannabis. It produces the plant’s telltale floral aroma that contains just a hint of spice.
More than 200 plants naturally produce linalool. Plants and trees such as birch, mint, lavender, bergamot, and many herbs are well known for their pungent, heady linalool production.
It is believed that the linalool of the cannabis plant serves a wide array of medicinal uses such as pain relief, inflammation reduction, seizure control, and depression alleviation. Its sedative qualities are believed to help relieve insomnia. Linalool also has tranquilizing effects that may help those suffering from psychosis.
