What Does Hash (Hashish) Mean?
Hash (Hashish) is a concentrate that contains the full spectrum of a given cannabis plant’s chemical constituents, created using a solventless process.
It is generally in the form of kief or trichome resin that has been compressed into bars or slabs. This kief consists of the trichome heads that have been broken away from the plant material by physical/mechanical means. These trichomes contain the key psychoactive chemical components of the cannabis plant.
Maximum Yield Explains Hash (Hashish)
Bubble hash is the most common modern form of hash in the North American legal cannabis market, produced using ice water to separate the trichomes from the plant material. This is very accessible for consumer level extraction. Dry-ice hash is a very similar product produced in a similar manner utilizing low temperature to ensure the trichome heads stay whole as they are “broken” away from the surface of the plant material.
More traditional forms such as Afghani, Charas, Netherlands, Nepalese, Moroccan, and Lebanese hash are made using ancient, hand techniques to separate the plant material from the kief.
