A research engineer, Ashdown brings almost 40 years experience in lighting design, research and development, as well as software engineering. He owns and runs Sun Tracker Technologies as well as byheart Consulting. Ashdown is currently working hard on several projects involving horticultural lighting design, including design software for greenhouses, and building atria that integrate climate-based annual daylight and supplemental electric lighting. He’s also authored more than 100 articles and technical journals. When he’s not working, Ashdown prefers hiking at elevations above 8,000 feet in the Canadian Rockies.
Augustus Dunning is the CEO of Eco Organics and is a physicist, chemist and an inventor. He is the former systems ops designer for the International Space Station and a former regional manager of liquid, solid and electric propulsion systems for Pratt and Whitney space propulsion, Edwards AFB, NAWC and JPL.
Kent Gruetzmacher, MFA, is a Colorado-based freelance writer and the director of business development at Mac & Fulton Talent Partners, an employment recruiting firm dedicated to the indoor gardening and hydroponics industry. He is interested in utilizing his MA in Humanities to critically explore the many cultural and business facets of this youthful, emergent industry by way of his entrepreneurial projects.
Jennifer Martin is an indoor cultivation consultant who specializes in custom nutrients, propagation, and vertical LED facility design. Dr. Lynette Morgan holds a B. Hort. Tech. degree and a PhD in hydroponic greenhouse production from Massey University, New Zealand. A partner with SUNTEC International Hydroponic Consultants, Lynette is involved in remote and on-site consultancy services for new and existing commercial greenhouse growers worldwide as well as research trials and product development for manufacturers of hydroponic products. Lynette has authored five hydroponic technical books and is working on her sixth.
GoodLifeGang leader and open source fanatic Dustin Powers is in love with cannabis. After dropping out of college, Dustin has gone on to pioneer multiple breakthroughs in the industry. From the beginnings of ethanol extraction to pesticide remediation, he's made a name for himself as the guy who gives out the knowledge for free, a model he learned while working directly under GreyWolf of SkunkPharm notoriety for 18 months. After three years and several hundred consulting jobs, he started Future4200.com to enable more people to freely access and distribute cannabis processing knowledge.

Carrie Roberts is a Senior Consultant with Medicine Man Technologies. She has a BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Colorado State University. As a former Colorado POST Certified law enforcement officer Carrie is currently on the speakers' bureau for LEAP (Law Enforcement Action Partnership), an international, non-profit, criminal justice reform agency speaking to both policy makers and the public regarding criminal justice and drug policy reform measures. Carrie is also on the standards creation board for the Foundation of Cannabis Unified Standards.
Lindsey Schiller studied at the University of Arizona’s Controlled Environment Agriculture Center before delving into sustainable greenhouse design after she moved to Colorado. In 2011, she co-founded Ceres Greenhouse Solutions to enable people to design and build their own sustainable, year-round greenhouses. She writes extensively on greenhouse technology and year-round growing through Ceres’ blog. She is also the author of The Year-Round Solar Greenhouse: How to Design and Build a Net-Zero Energy Greenhouse (New Society Publishers).

Lisa Jansen van Rensburg currently spearheads P.L. Light Systems North American marketing efforts out of their head office in Beamsville, Ontario. Prior to PL Light Systems, Lisa served as a director at a marketing communications agency—developing and implementing marketing strategies for energy conservation programs (both residential & commercial) on behalf of electric and gas utilities across Canada and the US. Before that, she spent six years with Philips Lighting, marketing their energy efficient lighting technologies and luminaries.
Austin Yeany has been professionally involved in the agriculture and hydroponics industry for five years. He operates a business known as VGS Organic, where he engineers custom-made gardens. He is also currently studying agricultural science.
