This issue marks the fifth year of publishing Maximum Yield Magazine. Rapid growth and many changes have been seen in the hydroponic industry since Maximum Yield was first published in the spring of 1998. We are proud to say that since our inception, Maximum Yield has grown to be published and distributed in English Canada, French Canada, USA, United Kingdom, Spain and Australia with plans for further expansion.
Hobbyist gardeners now have a vast supply of products available to choose from thanks to the global expansion of the hydroponics industry. New and excellent products are available not only from our domestic market but from many other countries as well. Many North American distributors offer you the opportunity to work with international products imported from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Holland, UK, Spain and more. In addition, domestic manufacturers and distributors are exporting and developing large market share in many overseas countries.
The exciting development of global marketing benefits everyone from the hobbyist gardener to the manufacturers and distributors. It is great to see so many in the industry starting to take advantage of the opportunities before them. The International Hydroponic Expo, May 3rd and 4th in Vancouver, B.C. is just one example of the international industry getting together under one roof to share, educate and promote the products and technologies of this industry.
Below is an email we received recently regarding the new Maximum Yield online hydroponic website. It is nice to know that people in developing countries are happy with our new improvements. Check out maximumyield.com! With this new web portal we can help you reach global markets as well as offer you all published Maximum Yield articles.
To the Editor and Staff of Maximum Yield:
We would like you to know that we find Maximum Yield online edition an extremely valuable resource for hydroponics and also other horticulture information. As you might know, many of the print editions magazine journals featuring hydoponics are quite expensive in developing countries and frankly unaffordable. Sites like yours go a long way in helping people like us in developing nations. We are taking full advantage of your site by downloading and printing the old issues and keeping them available for reference to anybody interested in hydroponics.
With the help of many articles we read in your magazine, we have been inspired and guided to carry out our first successsful cultures systems in hydroponics. Standard fare of tomatoes cucumbers and now carnations and jasmine and other flowers.
We eagerly look forward to each issue and we would like you to know that it is really appreciated and useful here. The apt word if we can use it’s a ‘lifeline’. !
Thanks
